Dec 25-11  Xmas with the family, great as always.  Little Dexter is growing so fast!

Dec 11-11 Cleo gave birth to twelve pups.  As hard as we tried, we lost nine, bottle feeding every 2-3 hours, to help Cleo.

Dec 3-11  Marlowe had an emergency c-section.  Five pups, and we lost two the first 24 hours.

Nov 3-7-11  Took my dad to Victoria to visit Kim and James.  Daryn and Janessa, and little Dexter joined us as well.  Kim was a great hostess.  The weather was great.  I managed to have a quick coffee with Sally.  Betty looked after Riley (River x Trip) red tri male, for me.  Which was great, leaving a pup for 5 days is hard on the pup.

Daryn and Janessa...I got to see 3D  ultrasound pictures of the baby, it is a boy, confirmed, (name is Dexter)  he is about 3 lbs now and they figure blond hair, and that he'll be about 8 lbs  when he is due (about April 19th)  it was really cool watching him move in her tummy.  yawning, kicking, stretching, gabbing his feet, sucking his thumb, etc.

Jan 08-11  Added new pictures to "In Memory"...Tequila, Jazz, Koot.

Dec 26-10  Christmas day is over.  It is always great to be with family.  Lots of good food and company!

DEC 11-10  back from vacation.   Dad had a great time.  It was good to see my sister and brother, and friends.  Sally and I, had coffee together, and hopefully I'll be taking Friday out to Victoria to trial in agility, spring of 2011.  Noelle has a litter of pups on the ground, out of Spinoff's Razzle Dazzle STDcOTDsd.  See her website for more information.

DEC 04-10  Leaving for Victoria with my dad for a bit of a vacation.  Spending time with my sister Kim and brother James.

NOV 23-10  We lost Tia today.  It is just plain "sad".  She will be missed. :(

NOV 21-10  River had 2 pups, a blue merle female and a red tri male.  Sire is Spinoff's Tripped Over Grit

NOV 16-10  Tia, does not seem to be much better, I'm still feeding by a syringe, yoghurt, and chicken broth.  Today I bought some strained baby food.  I take her to work with me, and fed her every 4 hours.  She sleeps all day.

NOV 13-10  Tia is home, and still is not up and walking.  She has a warm spot in the kitchen, with her bed, and blankets.  I'm hand feeding, with anything she'll eat.

NOV 07-10 Tia (papillon) had a emergency c-section, 3 pups, only one survived.  I lost the pup within 3 days, and Tia would not have anything to do with the pup or anyone.  By Tuesday nothing changed and we took her back to the vet.  She had a emergency spay, and has spent the last 5 days at the vet.

OCT 22-10  Nora Norrlin came to visit from Helsinki, Finland, and picked up 2 pups from Hawk and Ruby.  A red merle male named Curry and a red tri female named Fish.  Nora picked up Fish for her friend, Tytti Juntto.  It was great to finally meet her after many emails!  Marie-Andrée was kind enough to bring Mokey over for a visit.

OCT 18-2009 Marie-Andree and Mokey came out this afternoon, for a visit.   Marie-Andree help me collect samples for the HSF4 cataract tests.  We collected Rumour and Mokey.  So tomorrow I will mail them.  Then we wait for the results. We took the girls and Mokey out for a little hike.  Mokey looks "great"!

OCT  08-2009 Well lessons are done until spring 2010.  I had a great time, and learned some things. So the ram will go in shortly, and we'll plan for spring lambs.

SEP 27-2009 Spent the morning with Lill and family.  After a GREAT breakfast, we headed outside to check on Tia and Trip.  We took Trip down to see the bulls.  He did really well.  I'll have to plan another trip, before that s (snow) word comes.  He seems to be more of a cattle dog than a sheep dog.

Tia chased Tray, then Tray chased Tia.  Then Grit chased Tia.

SEP 13-2009  Lessons with a dog, lead to 4 hours in emergency with a dislocated middle finger, left hand.  Trying to get a dog to "lay down" I had her on a leash and was going to let her drag it.  I stepped on the line when she wouldn't "down", but I didn't have the right foot wear, and the leash slipped thorough my foot so I reach down to grab the leash, with my left hand.  That's all it took.  So...a lesson that taught a lesson.

AUG 11-2009 Bike riding....

AUGUST 05-2009  -  I went to Victoria to visit with my sister, Sally, Ann and my sister and brother-in law .  I loaded the van with Tia, Tank, River, and Spirit and off we went!  First I stayed with a friend, Ann, and her with three aussies, for the first night.  She has Cody who is now 15 years and one month! (a Koot x Zip son) and Kyde who is a year younger than Cody.  (out of Jazz). And now a young male called Jakota. (a Tazz son).  Ann is the lady who has always been kind enough to stay at our place while Wayne and I take a vacation once a year. Or help with a dog that has a broken leg, and well, pretty much whenever I help... she is there for me!!! Second I went to see Sally, and let all the dogs out for a run!  I got to see her "new leashes" she is making, and WOW, what a great job she does.  She's making two, okay maybe three, especially one for Tia, and River...Spirit should have one, okay so maybe they'll all have one sooner or later!:)  Then I went to my sister, and Lorinda's home, they put us up for 4 days, and I had a great time.  We took the dogs down to the off leash area by the ocean, and let them run, River stayed by my side.  The van quit so that was a challenging day to get it going, but my sister is always there to help me out, first time for battery cables, the next time for a new battery.  I stopped the last night and stayed with Wayne's sister and husband.  I got to meet their new addition, Chivas, he is a cockapoo.  And they had a wonderful meal waiting for me!  We let all the dogs out to play.  I had a great time, just to short!  I plan to make this trip every year now, family and friends are important, and life seems to get so busy!

JULY 31-2009  -  Tia arrived July 31st,  my dad and I picked her up from the airport.  The pictures were taken from my cell phone so they are not real good quality, but it marks the day she arrived.  She is named after my Tequila, my first bred litter of Australian Shepherds.  (I still miss Tequila!) Tia seems to be fitting in very well, and I'm enjoying that Papillion temperament!  I'm hoping to do some agility with this little dog, and this is my retirement breed.!
